Hello!
Sometime while at University, studying Computer Games Arts, I had a vision for a video game.
This idea, from 2015, would turn out to become a passion project where I mused, jotted and doodled on the sidelines of studying. It wasn't for a further three years until I decided to actually put pen to paper (or pen to tablet in my case) and bring my idea to life. As the quote goes, "A dream is just a dream until you decide to make it real" or "All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them".
So in Autumn 2018, I did just that. Pursued my dreams.
Now I wouldn't attempt to make a whole game all by myself. That would be silly and take literally years! I lulled over the notion of asking fellow graduates and freelance artists to aid in bringing my vision to life. This would be great but several factors including money and time played on my mind...alot.
Then a marvellous and well timed discovery let me craft around this problem. I saw an artists portfolio of visual development from concepts to model sheets, storyboards, 3D renders, matte paintings, the works. Of a fictional game IP. I actually saw all these paintings and thought they were for a big budget AAA game! Bammie-wham.
Moving forward on the vision, I am to generate multiple game art assets towards this fictitious game. Of which, I am calling 'Untitled' as my working title (inventive I know). This passion project is a challenge of creativity I am willing to embrace because there's an important benefit I hope to gain from it. As Maya Angelou poignantly said "There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you".
I've been developing on this project and its gripping story, in my spare time. Teasing of hints here and there on my socials, and now I thought what better way than to share my game art journey, with those of whom are interested, by making a blog.
Wish me luck on my venture!
Thanks for reading :)
